The veil

I wore my veil to Eucharistic Adoration today. I felt a little strange doing it because this is a Novus Ordo parish. However, I have begun attending a TLM (Thank you Pope Benedict for your Motu Proprio) in Boston and so I wear the veil there. It seems silly (hypocritical?) to wear the veil in one circumstance but not the other. It's either appropriate or it's not.

The Traditional Catholic's Motto

We are what you once were.
We believe what you once believed.
We worship as you once worshipped.
If you were right then, we are right now.
If we are wrong now, you were wrong then.

I am the only person in my parish who wears the veil. You're not the only "only"!

Next stop - kneeling for Communion. Just as soon as I don't have my arms full of babies.

I was wondering about the motto. Who is it aimed at? Is ittargeted at Catholics who have left the Faith? At Protestants?

I linked it on my blog:

I agree with veiling. I started well over a year ago and as soon as I "shake" my former parish, I will be able to veil 100% of the time. How is the Jesus in the N.O. Mass different than the Jesus at the TLM? That's the questions I asked myself and why I have arrived at my present mindset. God bless!

Greetings! ^^
I started veiling in the first place at my N.O. parish. There are about five people there who do so. Personally, I love the symbolism of it. I also hope that others who are thinking of wearing a veil will see my example and be encouraged. Honestly, the only difference is that you stand out a little more at the NO.

I've had to attend N.O. Masses several times in the past few weeks and so I wear the veil at them also. I don't sit as far up front as I usually do though, not wanting to draw attention to myself.

jay3gsm, I see someone gave you an excellent answer. Sorry it took so long for me to respond.

I veil in my NO parish. I have some ultra sheer black veils that blend in with my hair and I've got a red one as well as a silver one that can probably be seen from several pews away. It just depends on my mood. On occasions when I know I may face some hostility or rudeness I just wear a hat or a chapel cap.
